This page explains how to delete your RevRadar account and the personal data held in it. It covers the
RevRadar app and the website at revradar.co.uk, both run by RevRadar Ltd. You do
not need the app installed: you can delete your account on the website or by email.
Deleting your account is permanent and immediate. There is no grace period and we cannot undo it.
Delete it in the app
- Open RevRadar and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Tap the Account tab.
- Tap Settings.
- Scroll to the Danger zone at the bottom and tap Delete my account.
- Confirm. If your account has a password, enter it and tap Delete permanently. If you signed up
with Google and have no RevRadar password, tap Delete permanently — confirm with Google and
choose the same Google account when asked.
You will be signed out as soon as it is done.
Delete it on the website
- Go to revradar.co.uk/account and sign in.
- In the Danger zone, click Delete Account.
- Enter your password and click Delete My Account.
Signed up with Google and never set a password? The website needs a password to confirm deletion, and you can set one.
On revradar.co.uk open the sign-in form, choose Forgot password?, enter your account email and follow the link we
email you (it expires after 45 minutes). Then sign in with the new password and delete as above. Setting a password signs you out of
your other devices. If that email does not arrive, or you would rather not set a password, delete in the app or
email us instead.
Or ask us by email
Email [email protected]
from the address on your account, with the subject “Delete my RevRadar account”. We may need to confirm it is
you before we act, and we will reply within 30 days.
What is deleted
Deleting your account removes it from our live database straight away, together with everything linked to it:
- Your account — email address, password (stored only as a hash), display name, home postcode and its coordinates, default search radius, the date you accepted our Terms, and the references that link you to your billing record.
- Saved searches and their alert settings.
- Saved listings (favourites), including any price-drop watches.
- Search history and the listings you have viewed, plus your interactions with on-page prompts.
- For You likes and dismissals.
- Push notification registrations — app device tokens and browser subscriptions. Once removed, we can no longer send notifications to those devices.
- Your Google sign-in link, if you used Google to sign in.
- Pending password-reset and email-verification tokens.
- Records of individual emails we have sent you and any email bounce or complaint records linked to your account.
If you have a paid subscription
Deleting your account cancels any active paid subscription in Stripe before anything is deleted, so you will not be billed again.
The rest of the period you have already paid for is not refunded automatically. If we cannot cancel the subscription
(for example, Stripe is unreachable), we do not delete anything: you will see an error, and you can try again or email us.
Accounts on the free plan, or with beta Pro access and no Stripe subscription, have nothing to cancel.
What we keep, and why
Some copies sit outside the live database and are not removed the moment you delete:
- Backups. We take nightly backups of the whole database so we can recover from a disaster. We do not edit backups, so your data can remain in one until it expires, which is no longer than about four weeks. Off-site copies are encrypted and kept for a shorter time.
- Payment records at Stripe. We cancel your subscription, but Stripe keeps its payment and customer records under its own legal obligations and privacy policy.
- Email logs at Resend. Our email provider keeps logs of emails sent for up to 30 days.
- Security log. A rolling log of our most recent 1,000 sign-in and account-security events, which can include an email address and IP address, is used to spot abuse. We do not edit it when you delete your account; older entries are overwritten as new events arrive.
- Waitlist. If you also joined the pre-launch waitlist with the same email address, that entry is stored separately and is not removed by deleting your account. Email us and we will remove it.
For everything we collect and how long we keep it, see our Privacy Policy.
